4D3N Kuching & Mulu Unesco Tour With National Park Stay
Overview
Travel through Sarawak, The Land of the Hornbills, on this 4D3N tour featuring Kuching and Mulu National Park. Begin in Kuching, the "City of Cats," where you will visit landmarks such as the White Cat Statue and the historic Old Court House, and learn about the city's past and cultural heritage.
The journey continues to Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkable cave formations and rainforest ecosystem. Explore Deer Cave, home to one of the world’s largest cave passages, and Clearwater Cave, one of the longest cave systems in Southeast Asia. The tour also includes a visit to the Batu Bengan Penan Settlement, where you can learn about the lifestyle and traditions of the Penan Tribe.
Sample Itinerary
DAY 1 - Arrival / Kuching City Tour

Upon arrival at Kuching International Airport, meet your guide and begin a Kuching city tour. Explore several of the city’s historic landmarks, including the White Cat Statue, Old Court House, General Post Office, Square Tower, and Tua Pek Kong Temple, one of the oldest Chinese temples in Sarawak.

Cross the Kuching River on a traditional tambang boat ride and explore the waterfront area where you can sample local delicacies. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before transferring to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay.

DAY 2 - Flight from Kuching to Mulu / Deer Cave & Lang Cave / Bat Exodus

After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Kuching International Airport for your flight to Mulu. Upon arrival at Mulu Airport, proceed to Gunung Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and check in to your accommodation.

At 14:00 Hrs, attend a safety briefing before visiting the Mulu Exhibition Centre. Continue with a 3 km walk along the raised boardwalk through the rainforest to the entrances of Lang Cave and Deer Cave. Explore the caves and observe their impressive limestone formations.

In the evening, wait at the bat observatory platform to witness the spectacular bat exodus, where millions of bats emerge from Deer Cave at dusk. Return to Park Headquarters and spend the evening at leisure.

DAY 3 - Batu Bungan Penan Settlement / Wind Cave / Clearwater Cave

After breakfast, head to the jetty for a longboat ride along the Melinau River to Batu Bungan Handicraft Centre. Here you can meet members of the Penan Community and learn about their traditional way of life, as well as browse locally made handicrafts.

Continue to Wind Cave, known for its cool airflow and striking limestone formations, before visiting nearby Clearwater Cave, famous for its large cave chambers and underground river.

Enjoy picnic lunch at the Clearwater Rest Hut surrounded by rainforest scenery. After lunch, return to Park Headquarters by boat and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
