Located in northern Sarawak in Malaysian Borneo, Gunung Mulu National Park spans over 52,800 hectares of protected rainforest and limestone karst landscapes, making it one of Southeast Asia’s most remarkable natural destinations. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mulu is globally renowned for its vast cave systems, including some of the largest and longest caves in the world, as well as its rich biodiversity of flora and fauna.
Visitors come to Mulu to explore the Show Caves, watch the Bat Exodus at Deer Cave, and travel along the Melinau River, where stops such as the Batu Bungan Penan Settlement offer a glimpse into local culture. Much of the park, including the caves, is accessible via well-maintained boardwalks, making it suitable for visitors of different ages and fitness levels. For more adventurous travellers, the Mulu Pinnacles trek is a challenging climb through rugged limestone terrain on Gunung Api, offering one of the park’s most iconic views.

We had an amazing 3D2N Mulu Show Caves Tour. The booking was done through Anthony Wong, who was extremely patient and accommodating with our various changes. It was a breeze working with him, and I highly appreciate his professionalism. The visit to the caves was awesome, especially the bat exodus, which was something we had only seen in documentaries. I would also highly recommend upgrading to Mulu Marriott Resort and Spa. The room was very comfortable and nice, a good place to rest after the tour.

Booked the Kuching and Mulu caves trip and were well taken care of. Anthony Wong was very responsive whenever we asked about tour details or flight timing. The Mulu guide, Kai, was patient and never rushed us throughout the experience. The caves were truly amazing and unforgettable. The upgrade to Marriott was definitely worth it, offering a comfortable stay after the tours.

This was our third time joining Amazing Borneo. We arranged a 4D3N Mulu Pinnacles trip with Anthony Wong, who was responsive, patient, and helpful throughout. Our guides, Mack and Andy, were professional and supportive, ensuring everything ran smoothly from check-in to the hike. They prepared surprisingly delicious meals at Camp 5 despite limited resources. Safety was prioritised during the climb, and we appreciated that everyone returned safely. The Pinnacles view was spectacular, and overall, the trip was a fantastic experience.

Mulu National Park is a special place. The rainforest is wonderful and amazing, with unforgettable experiences at a good price. Mulu Marriott Resort is beautiful and near the park, with clean and comfortable rooms. It was nice to return after a jungle trek and enjoy good food. Anthony Wong from Amazing Borneo Tours provided good service and arrangements.
