LODGE ARRANGEMENT AT MULU NATIONAL PARK
- For Mulu National Park stay:

- 1-2 pax: Guests will be arranged into one rainforest lodge unit with one queen or twin bed.

Overview
This 5 Days 4 Nights tour combines the highlights of Miri, Brunei, and Mulu National Park, offering a journey through culture, history, and nature in northern Borneo. In Miri, explore key landmarks that reflect the city’s history dating back to the pre-World War II era, before continuing to Brunei Darussalam, where you will visit grand mosques and remarkable architectural landmarks unique to the country.
The journey then continues to Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic limestone landscapes and impressive cave systems. Here, you will explore the park’s renowned show caves, where striking stalactites, stalagmites, and vast limestone chambers reveal the geological wonders that make Mulu one of the most remarkable natural destinations in Southeast Asia.
Sample Itinerary
DAY 1 - Arrival in Miri / Miri City Tour

Upon arrival at Miri Airport, meet your guide and begin a guided tour of the city. Visit key landmarks including Canada Hill, the historic Grand Old Lady (Malaysia’s first oil well), and the Petroleum Museum, where you can learn about the history of the oil industry in Sarawak.

Continue to the Old Chinese Temple, one of Miri’s oldest buildings and among the few structures that survived World War II. You will also stop at the local tamu (weekly market), herb shops, Kek Lapis Sarawak Shops, and Sarawak handicraft stores, where you can browse for local souvenirs and traditional products.

After the tour, transfer to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace.

DAY 2 - Brunei City Trip

After breakfast, depart from the hotel for a 3-hour overland journey to Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei Darussalam.

Visit several of the country’s most notable landmarks, including Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, the largest mosque in Brunei, and Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful mosques in the Asia Pacific region.

The tour also includes stops at the Royal Regalia Museum, the famous Kampung Ayer (water village), Nurul Iman Palace, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei, and Jerudong Park.

Enjoy a local lunch in the city before returning to Miri for an overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 3 - Flight from Miri to Mulu / Deer Cave & Lang Cave

After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Miri Airport for your flight to Mulu.

Upon arrival at Mulu Airport, proceed to your accommodation at Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At 14:00 Hrs, attend a safety briefing before visiting the Mulu Exhibition Centre and beginning a 3 km walk along the boardwalk through the rainforest to Deer Cave and Lang Cave.

After exploring the caves, wait at the bat observatory platform to witness the remarkable bat exodus, where around 2 million bats emerge from Deer Cave at dusk.

Return to your accommodation and spend the evening at leisure.

DAY 4 - Batu Bungan Penan Settlement / Wind Cave / Clearwater Cave

After breakfast, take a longboat ride along the Melinau River to Batu Bungan Handicraft Centre, where you can meet members of the Penan community, traditionally known for their forest-based lifestyle and handcrafted items.

Continue to Wind Cave, known for its cool airflow and striking limestone formations. Then visit Clearwater Cave, famous for its large cave chambers and underground river.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Clearwater Rest Hut, surrounded by rainforest scenery. After lunch, return to your accommodation by boat and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
